Beat the Sun and Tan with these Top 5 sunscreens available in India

Hello Beauties !!!!
Hope all of you are doing good and now as everyone can feel the heat of the sun shining above us..
It's the time we need to start taking care of our skin from harmful sun rays as it's gonna be more prominent now...
For all the Indian beauties I have got my TOP-5 sunscreens. I have arranged them from top to bottom starting from the least fav first to the Best at the end. ( but still trust me No. 5 is also one of the best among Indian Brands) .
I have dry skin keep this in mind but I have options for all...
So, Here we go....

5. Lacto Calamine :

 At number 5 we have Lacto calamine sunscreen. It has variants like for Dry skin and Oily skin. The formulation is very nice and the texture is soft. It absorbs in the skin so quickly and its not sticky..

SPF 30 PA++
PRICE : ₹199.00

4. Nivea Moisturising Sun Lotion:

At number 4 We have Nivea Sun lotion . This works as a magic and the best part because it is a lotion it can be used on the body as well. I personally prefer lotions kind of consistency for my body sunscreen and this one is just perfect. It comes in a variety of SPFs and the price also depends on the SPF it contains.

PRICE : SPF 30 - ₹250.00
                SPF 50 - ₹360.00

3. Lotus Herbals Safe Sun :

At number 3 it is Lotus herbals. I feel this is the favourite of all the cosmetic vendors here in India. :D
No, seriously , Whenever you step into a shop and ask for a sunscreen they have LOTUS Herbals for you as their BEST SELLER most probably. I don't know if Lotus people give them more margin or something but in couple of past years , This one has made a soft corner for all the sellers in our local markets. I know most of you are gonna agree with me on this :D

Well, this lotion cum gel kind of formula actually works on Indian skin. It is more suitable for mature skin and the skin which gets Tan easily. I have not find it suitable for dry skin but for oily skin it does miracle in preventing your skin form sun damage.

PRICE : SPF 30 PA++ - ₹195
                SPF 40 PA++ - ₹245
                SPF 50 PA++ - ₹295 (prices for 50g each)

2. Lakme Sun Expert:

At number 2 is this lakme sun expert .I have used this the most , throughout my college days and this is the best sunscreen which u can use on your body. It actually helps in removing the Tan. Love this one nothing to say much just get your hands on it.

PRICE : SPF 24 PA++ - ₹375.00 (120 ml)
               SPF 30 PA++ - ₹400.00  (100 ml)
               SPF 50 PA++ - ₹580.00  (100 ml)

1. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer:

And the winner of all sunscreens is Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF50+ PA+++ .
This is my hands down favourite. I have never used any sunscreen on my face other than this. Although it says Dry touch but it suits my Dry skin miraculously . I have been in love with this and I have not touched and tried any other sunscreen for my face since I have started using this . You need to have this girl.

SPF 50+ PA+++
PRICE : ₹499.00  (88 ml)

So, these were my TOP 5 sunscreens available in INDIA .
All the sunscreens have SPF which actually means Sun Protection Factor, it is a measure of how well a sunscreen will protect skin from UVB rays, the kind of radiation that causes sunburn, damages skin, and can contribute to skin cancer.
And PA means Protection Grade of UVA .

Lets Play a Safe Holi - Skincare , Eyecare , Haircare all you need to know

Happy Holi to all of you!!!!!!!!

As you all know this is the Holi time and with all sort of colors you are definitely gonna damage your hair and skin.
With my research and tips I am writing this blogpost today so that all of you know

 how you need to take care of your skin and hair before and after you play Holi .

EYE CARE

1)Always apply coconut oil beneath your eyes. This allows to remove the colour easily and keeps the eyes and the area beneath it protected, Also keep in mind to cover your eyes tightly when colour is being splashed around.

2)If you wear lenses, make sure you remove your lenses before stepping out to play Holi, If possible, protect your eyes with sunglasses or protective eye wear while playing.

3)The most important thing to remember is to avoid touching your eyes or rubbing them as it may cause irritation or vision loss. In case colour enters your eyes, wash them immediately with clean water.

4)Don’t forget to tie your hair and use a cap to prevent coloured water dripping into your eyes. This is one of the major reasons that can cause eye infections and allergies while playing Holi.

HAIR CARE

1)One should apply oil or apply conditioner over the length of your hair as well as your scalp and leave it. This acts as a barrier, protecting the scalp from colours.

2)If you have long hair, you should either tie it up or make a braid, so that the colour does not reach your scalp. If you have short hair, you should wear a cap or bandana to keep your hair covered.

3)Wash your hair with cold water as it removes the colours easily. Use a mild cleansing shampoo that is free of chemicals like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate/Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS), and Parabens. Also use non foaming shampoos to remove colours.

4)Once you have washed off the colour from your hair, apply a thick layer of intense conditioning all over the length of your hair. Do not apply the conditioner to your scalp so that the damage caused by the friction of crystal materials from the colour can be repaired.

SKIN CARE

1)Apply argon oil on your body before heading out for Holi celebrations. This will add an additional layer between the skin and the colours. It also refrains the colours to stick on your body.

2)Moisturise and hydrate your skin well. “Use zinc-based barrier creams before going out to play. These creams help prevent minor skin irritations and burns caused by harmful colours.

3)Combination of colours and the sun is also harmful. Therefore it’s important to use a sunscreen of SPF 30. Sunscreen is an effective barrier against colours.

4)To cleanse, put aloe vera cream after Holi. It moisturises and soothes your skin and fights against infection.

Hope you all find this helpful.....
Have a safe Holi
Enjoy...

Makeup Revolution London - Iconic 3 palette

 Hello my beautiful Readers!
Today is the  #bloggingsunday and I have decided to write my views on the Makeup Revolution London Iconic 3 Eyeshadow palette.
This palette is supposed to be a Dupe for Urban Decay Naked 3..!!

I have got this palette from London. My friend brought this for me and I have been using it for quite some time now. So , lets get into this review.

1. Packaging :

First look of any product is its packaging. This palette has a very sleek packaging . The lid is transparent and the rest of the palette is of black colored sturdy plastic. It is easy to carry it in your bag. Because of the transparent cover it is easy to distinguish what palette are to picking.
But this packaging lack a mirror , which would have made it a perfect palette. for packaging I would give an 8/10.

                                                                          2. Texture :

The texture is creamy  very velvety I should say. But there is a lot of fall out :(
The shades are creamy but on the same side don't know why they become so powdery on the brush and gives you horrible fallout specially the dark shades. So its better you do your face later and eyes first while using this palette.

3. Swatches :

The swatches are attached for you. The shades are not given any names though but they are very much similar to that of the Naked 3 one. In the palette they might look different but on the eyes more or less it gives pretty much the same look.  The upper one in the picture below is Naked 3 while the lower one is Iconic 3.

4. Price Part:

The price of this palette in India is ₹ 1050/-
in U.K. it is prices at GBP 4.00/-
Look for discounts because for ₹1050 I would say it doesn't meet the quality standards . Yes it is a bit on expensive side in India.
But if you are on budget want similar look as Naked 3 then ₹1050 option is much more better than ₹7000 (approx) for the Naked one.

5. Iconic Range:

It comes in the range ICONIC 1 , ICONIC 2 and ICONIC 3 which are supposed to be the dupes for NAKED 1 , NAKED 2  and NAKED 3 respectively.

6. Wear Time:

The eyeshadows hold for a good time. Say for 8-9 hours.

7. Pros and Cons:

  • Naked 3 Dupe
  • Has really nice rosey and pinky shades
  • easy to carry very light weight.
  • Cons - Just one . It has fall outs while applied using a fluffy brush.

8. Final Verdict and NV Rating:

This product is not so bad to invest in!! You can definitely try on this product . It will give you some Rosey looks and enhance the eye features.
This is not the most versatile palette available out there in MUR range , but this is of its own kind. And that you can create Naked 3 similar looks with it then  why not!

I would give it an overall NV Rating 7/10 . Less rating because of the fall outs . But once they are on your eyes , no smudging after that..

So, Girls this is a really good palette you can use some shades as Highlighters as well.

This is it for today ladies!!! Thank you so much for reading this..
stay tuned  for the next review coming up next Sunday.

Bbye tkcr all.!!

Cetaphil DAM Daily Advance Lotion- (for DRY to VERY DRY SKIN) REVIEW

 Hello Beauties!!
Today we have a skin care product at our blog.
Cetaphil DAM Daily advance Ultra Hydrating lotion for DRY to VERY DRY skin.
My skin is very dry and I have tried almost every lotion available in Indian market. I need to moisturize my face quite a lot specially in winter season.
I decided to give Cetaphil a try , as everyone has a lot of good words to say for this. Here I will be telling you Is it worth trying? Does it really work for DRY to Very DRY skin? and Why Cetaphil?

Let's get into this REVIEW:

1. Texture:

The consistency of this lotion is not too thick not too runny. I should say it is very velvety . It is white in color with almost zero fragrance. So its good for those who have problem with strong smell lotions. It absorbs in your skin very quickly giving your skin a healthy smooth and glowing appearance.

2.Packaging:

It comes in a tube kind of packaging which is very convenient to carry in your bag. It has blue and green colour theme going on and written for DRY to VERY DRY skin. It is available in so many ranges like for sensitive skin, for normal to dry ,for daily hydration, for oily skin etc. You can pick up the range as per your skin type. This one comes in two sizes 30ml and 100ml.

3. Price part:

30 ml costs ₹150
100 ml costs ₹338

4. Why Cetaphil?

Well , it is dermatologists tested and recommended. It has no side-effects. No fragrance. Budget friendly. Gives you day long hydration and no harmful chemicals.

5. Final Verdict and NV Rating:

 I loved this lotion so much that I would give it a NV Rating of 9/10 . Why not 10? Obviously you never know what much better product comes in the market tomorrow. But for now my Dry skin beauties lock your hydration with this lotion.. It is extremely hydrating , makes your skin so smooth .
So, Yes 100% recommended . You will not regret I promise. This is the best lotion I have used so far for Very Dry skin . This is a one stop destination for all dehydrated people like me :P

This is all for today!
Hope you like this review..
Also share this blog among your friends if you find it interesting . This is a growing blog and I will try to bring many more interesting products in the coming year.

Take care Readers!!
God Bless you all.. :)

MakeUpRevolution London Makeup Fixing spray (dewy)

MakeUpRevolution London Makeup Fixing spray (dewy)

Hello my beautiful readers! I hope all of you are doing quite well. Today there is a quick review on Makeup Revolution's Makeup Fixing spray. This one is for Dry skin which means it is not an oil control but a dewy one!!
I am Dry skin and I know the pain of dull and not so glowy skin . But today I have a product for you which will give you a nice healthy glow and will keep your makeup in place as well. Lets get started :

1.Texture

The texture is watery. Gets absorbed in your skin easily. Doesn't carry any strong smell which is a good thing. Doesn't feel greasy at all once absorbed. The spray is very even too.

2. Packaging:

When it comes to packaging, it is quite sturdy. It comes with a pump (why not after-all it is a spray :D) . White colored plastic bottle , makeuprevolution written in gold and black which makes it very cute. Easy to carry comes with a plastic transparent cap. 8/10 for packaging.

 3. Ingredients:

Aqua, Alcohol Denat., Propylene Glycol, Benzyl Alcohol, Amp-Acrylates/Allyl Methacrylate Copolymer, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Dehydroacetic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Panthenol, Sorbitol, Retinyl Palmitate, Linseed Acid, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Seed Extract, Sodium Benzoate, BHT

4. Price Part:

In India it is available for ₹1000/- you can purchase it from NYKAA.COM or makeuprevolutionindia website. However this product is really cheap in UK just 5 or 6 pounds.

5. Final Verdict:

I give this product an overall  NV Rating of 8/10
Go get it if you are dry skin and if you are oily skin it is available in oil control formula as well. It keeps the makeup in place , It didn't breakout on me. Dries within 3-4mins. A good to try product I always say look for discounts . On nykaa sometimes there  is  20-30% discount on MUR products .
Yes I recommend this product with all my heart coz I really liked it. MUR products are actually worth trying...

This is all for today.. Thank you all for reading this..
I will try to keep you guys updated with as much as products I can...

INDIAN MAKEUP BRANDS SERIES (IMBS) 1 - Blueheaven Eyeshadows

INDIAN MAKEUP BRANDS SERIES (IMBS) 1 - Blueheaven Eyeshadows

Hello my beautiful readers! I hope all of you are doing well. Guys from this post onwards I am starting a new Series of postS i.e. INDIAN MAKEUP BRANDS SERIES (IMBS) . In this series I would be discussing all the "made in India" Products. Off-course Indian Products should be promoted after all they are made in our own country, but I will not be promoting each and every product. There are some products which are really undervalued and some which are badly overvalued just because of a brand name.
Here , In this series , I would be introducing you guys with the ANGELS and DEMONS among The Indian makeup brands. Again these would be my personal opinions on any of the product I would be reviewing here. Your opinion can be different from mine , personal choices you know. :)

So, lets start this series and I am starting with BLUE HEAVEN EYESHADOWS

1. SHADES:

Blue heaven has a range of eyeshadows . I have seen there palettes , monoeyeshadows and the quads they are having. I will be talking about the Quads here. They come in a combination of 3, each having 4 different colours of eye shadows to work with. the shades are not different in all the quads , some shades are repetitive. There are 9 shades in total
1. Dusty orange , 2.Dull yellow , 3.Maroon , 4.Aqua Blue , 5.Purple , 6.Green 7.Mauve 8.Royal Blue and 9. Bright Yellow
All the shades look quite promising but here the problem starts...

         2. TEXTURE

These eyeshadows are damn CHALKY . I mean if you have already used Maybellie or Loreal then these are a big NO!NO! . Not at all good.

3.PIGMENTATION:

Pigmentation is pathetic. As they are chalky they can be removed with a swipe of your fingers that too a very soft swipe will take away your eye shadow completely . They were so pale when swatched on my hand that they were looking like kid's crayons . NOPE thing.!

4. PACKAGING

The packaging is a good thing about them. And I am sure the manufacturer is focusing on that only because the product in it is of no value. Economics Rule "Whats packed good,Should be good". But now the buyers are smart enough to choose the right product. okay so it comes with an applicator as well the traditional sponge one which is beneath the eyeshadow quad , there is a small compartment arranged for the lil baby. Not worthy off course.!

5. PRICE PART

One quad costs around Rs. 125 and a combo of two which I bought would cost you Rs. 225.
Even though it is cheap but not at all to invest in product. I have seriously wasted my money I could have purchased a BB cream or a Kajal with it .

6. FINAL VERDICT:

Don't even dare to try this product. And I really mean it. I don't want you end up like Gosh! I have wasted my money . :D :D LOLZ but seriously Women out there Indians obviously pls do not invest in this . Rather get yourself some mono eyeshadows from Makeup Revolution London, or if want some local product then ADS has a far better formula for eyeshadows instead of this.
This is it for today!! This was first thing I have reviewed so negatively but this hell eyeshadow deserves this.. I hated it seriously.

Thank you for reading

GOODNIGHT GUYS..
TKCR STAY BLESSED
Love you all!! :)
