Cetaphil DAM Daily Advance Lotion- (for DRY to VERY DRY SKIN) REVIEW

Today we have a skin care product at our blog.
Cetaphil DAM Daily advance Ultra Hydrating lotion for DRY to VERY DRY skin.
My skin is very dry and I have tried almost every lotion available in Indian market. I need to moisturize my face quite a lot specially in winter season.
I decided to give Cetaphil a try , as everyone has a lot of good words to say for this. Here I will be telling you Is it worth trying? Does it really work for DRY to Very DRY skin? and Why Cetaphil?

Let's get into this REVIEW:

1. Texture:

The consistency of this lotion is not too thick not too runny. I should say it is very velvety . It is white in color with almost zero fragrance. So its good for those who have problem with strong smell lotions. It absorbs in your skin very quickly giving your skin a healthy smooth and glowing appearance.

2.Packaging:

It comes in a tube kind of packaging which is very convenient to carry in your bag. It has blue and green colour theme going on and written for DRY to VERY DRY skin. It is available in so many ranges like for sensitive skin, for normal to dry ,for daily hydration, for oily skin etc. You can pick up the range as per your skin type. This one comes in two sizes 30ml and 100ml.

3. Price part:

30 ml costs ₹150

100 ml costs ₹338

4. Why Cetaphil?

Well , it is dermatologists tested and recommended. It has no side-effects. No fragrance. Budget friendly. Gives you day long hydration and no harmful chemicals.

5. Final Verdict and NV Rating:

 I loved this lotion so much that I would give it a NV Rating of 9/10 . Why not 10? Obviously you never know what much better product comes in the market tomorrow. But for now my Dry skin beauties lock your hydration with this lotion.. It is extremely hydrating , makes your skin so smooth .

So, Yes 100% recommended . You will not regret I promise. This is the best lotion I have used so far for Very Dry skin . This is a one stop destination for all dehydrated people like me :P

Hello my beautiful readers! I hope all of you are doing quite well. Today there is a quick review on Makeup Revolution's Makeup Fixing spray. This one is for Dry skin which means it is not an oil control but a dewy one!!

I am Dry skin and I know the pain of dull and not so glowy skin . But today I have a product for you which will give you a nice healthy glow and will keep your makeup in place as well. Lets get started :

1.Texture

The texture is watery. Gets absorbed in your skin easily. Doesn't carry any strong smell which is a good thing. Doesn't feel greasy at all once absorbed. The spray is very even too.

2. Packaging:

When it comes to packaging, it is quite sturdy. It comes with a pump (why not after-all it is a spray :D) . White colored plastic bottle , makeuprevolution written in gold and black which makes it very cute. Easy to carry comes with a plastic transparent cap. 8/10 for packaging.

 3. Ingredients: 

Aqua, Alcohol Denat., Propylene Glycol, Benzyl Alcohol, Amp-Acrylates/Allyl Methacrylate Copolymer, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Dehydroacetic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Panthenol, Sorbitol, Retinyl Palmitate, Linseed Acid, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Seed Extract, Sodium Benzoate, BHT

4. Price Part:

In India it is available for ₹1000/- you can purchase it from NYKAA.COM or makeuprevolutionindia website. However this product is really cheap in UK just 5 or 6 pounds. 

5. Final Verdict:

I give this product an overall  NV Rating of 8/10

Go get it if you are dry skin and if you are oily skin it is available in oil control formula as well. It keeps the makeup in place , It didn't breakout on me. Dries within 3-4mins. A good to try product I always say look for discounts . On nykaa sometimes there  is  20-30% discount on MUR products . 

Yes I recommend this product with all my heart coz I really liked it. MUR products are actually worth trying...

INDIAN MAKEUP BRANDS SERIES (IMBS) 1 - Blueheaven Eyeshadows

Hello my beautiful readers! I hope all of you are doing well. Guys from this post onwards I am starting a new Series of postS i.e. INDIAN MAKEUP BRANDS SERIES (IMBS) . In this series I would be discussing all the "made in India" Products. Off-course Indian Products should be promoted after all they are made in our own country, but I will not be promoting each and every product. There are some products which are really undervalued and some which are badly overvalued just because of a brand name.
Here , In this series , I would be introducing you guys with the ANGELS and DEMONS among The Indian makeup brands. Again these would be my personal opinions on any of the product I would be reviewing here. Your opinion can be different from mine , personal choices you know. :)

So, lets start this series and I am starting with BLUE HEAVEN EYESHADOWS 

1. SHADES:

Blue heaven has a range of eyeshadows . I have seen there palettes , monoeyeshadows and the quads they are having. I will be talking about the Quads here. They come in a combination of 3, each having 4 different colours of eye shadows to work with. the shades are not different in all the quads , some shades are repetitive. There are 9 shades in total

1. Dusty orange , 2.Dull yellow , 3.Maroon , 4.Aqua Blue , 5.Purple , 6.Green 7.Mauve 8.Royal Blue and 9. Bright Yellow

All the shades look quite promising but here the problem starts...

                                                                      

         2. TEXTURE        

These eyeshadows are damn CHALKY . I mean if you have already used Maybellie or Loreal then these are a big NO!NO! . Not at all good.

3.PIGMENTATION:

Pigmentation is pathetic. As they are chalky they can be removed with a swipe of your fingers that too a very soft swipe will take away your eye shadow completely . They were so pale when swatched on my hand that they were looking like kid's crayons . NOPE thing.!

            

4. PACKAGING 

The packaging is a good thing about them. And I am sure the manufacturer is focusing on that only because the product in it is of no value. Economics Rule "Whats packed good,Should be good". But now the buyers are smart enough to choose the right product. okay so it comes with an applicator as well the traditional sponge one which is beneath the eyeshadow quad , there is a small compartment arranged for the lil baby. Not worthy off course.! 

5. PRICE PART

One quad costs around Rs. 125 and a combo of two which I bought would cost you Rs. 225.

Even though it is cheap but not at all to invest in product. I have seriously wasted my money I could have purchased a BB cream or a Kajal with it .

6. FINAL VERDICT:

Don't even dare to try this product. And I really mean it. I don't want you end up like Gosh! I have wasted my money . :D :D LOLZ but seriously Women out there Indians obviously pls do not invest in this . Rather get yourself some mono eyeshadows from Makeup Revolution London, or if want some local product then ADS has a far better formula for eyeshadows instead of this. 

This is it for today!! This was first thing I have reviewed so negatively but this hell eyeshadow deserves this.. I hated it seriously.

"DUPE ALERT" - Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream

 Hello Beauties !!! I am finally back after a long break.Yes, I know each one of you ,who read my blog,  must be thinking Where has she gone?? or Has she stopped writing blogs? But no! Sorry I wasn't getting time last month and was not able to update my blog. Actually I was busy in my exams and in shopping for my Mumbai trip as well :P . The city is awesome guys, I loved being there and most important thing I bought something from Mumbai which eventually becomes the topic of today's Blog :)

Yes! I am talking about a BRAND called "MISS CLAIRE" . They have a wide range of liquid lipsticks and it turns matte after applying . The shades are fantastic. So what are we waiting for let's jump on to the main point  "THE REVIEW"

1. Shades

Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams comes in 20 to 25 shades. All the shades in this range are really hard to find. The shades don't have a name instead they have a number written at the bottom of the lipstick . I really can't tell you the exact number of shades , but will update the post once I get to know.

2. Texture

As the name says it itself "Lip Cream" , it is actually  creamy soft and  velvety in texture. It doesn't dry out your lips , as most of the matte lipsticks do. It sets matte but still you won't even feel you are wearing a matte lipstick. Its is too light to wear.

3.Pigmentation and Wearing Time

Almost every shade is very much pigmented as I swatched them while purchasing mine. Very opaque just one swipe will cover up the lip. You can wear this lipstick the entire day!! Yes you read right "The Entire Day".Even if you are eating or drinking this won't come out or break like other matte liquid lipsticks do. It could fade a little but you can reapply it without wiping out the whole lipstick. Major Plus point..yeeeaaah!!!!!

4. Packaging

Packaging is very simple and cute. It comes in a cylindrical kind of jar which is half black (the wand) half colored (actual product). The wand is usual which has an applicator at the tip. The applicator is very soft and spongy and it spreads the lip cream very evenly on the lips. Actually the packaging is exactly the same as NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREAMS <3 DUPE! DUPE! DUPE!

5. How does it smell?

Awww!! ummm!! Yes! It smells soooo sooo good. Its like chocolate toffee or bubble gum or something like that. I mean you won't have to make "faces" it actually smells good. It does not have a strong smell or some medicine kind of smell in it.

6. Availability , Price and Shelf life

I got mine from Mumbai, India . There is a store called First Beauty in Ghatkopar , Mumbai. I bought it from there It is quite rare in availability both online and offline . In Delhi I wasn't able to find it but in South Delhi it could be available. ( Do comment down below if you find in Delhi). As far as Online is concerned I saw it available on Snapdeal.com It has to be recently added there, as previously it wasn't available online. A big issue with availability !!

I got mine for Rs.160/- from first beauty . ONLINE Snapdeal is selling it for Rs.195/- not that bad for the quality you are getting .

Shelf life is 3yrs from the DOM.

  7. Pros and Cons:

• The biggest pro about these are " THEY ARE DUPES FOR NYX" . Same Packaging , Same Smell, Same Texture , Same Shades.  Yes! they are exactly the same. Nyx lip cream will cost you around Rs.600 or Rs.650 and MissClaire are just in between Rs.160-200
• They are crease-less , creamy , very light to wear
• Smells good
• Do not dry out lips
• Cost effective
• Cons are with its Availability only

8. Final Verdict

Yes ! Recommended.. In the range of liquid lipsticks you have to have these in your vanity. Its not glossy not too dry , It is just perfect lip cream needed whatever the season is.

Guys Today I would directly jump on to the topic that is " EXPERT FACE BRUSH vs BUFFING BRUSH"...

It's not a kind of competition that which brush is gonna win , as both the brushes are extremely good but there is a difference that's why they are given different names. So , today I would be going to list down the differences and its upon you which brush to choose according to your foundation routine.

So lets get into the differences.. :)

1. SHAPE:

The very first thing which is noticeable is the shape of the two brushes. expert brush has a curved handle and a large base, while the buffing brush is a cylindrical shaped brush with round bottom. Expert brush is rectangular sort of brush while buffing is a fluffy round one.

2. Bristles :

They both have synthetic bristles. Bristles of expert face brush are very dense when compared to the buffing brush. Which means , expert brush gives you more coverage and is good for liquid and full coverage foundations. while buffing brush can be used with liquid foundations but it gives medium coverage and I would recommend it for powder foundations.

3. Task performed :

Expert face brush does all the task needed on your face..You can blend your foundation,concealer , contour , blush and even highlight. You cannot apply powder with it as it will not give that finish required.

With the Buffing brush you can blend in your foundation, can apply blush and even set with powder. You cannot contour with this one because of its fluffy shape.

                                                                                        

 These were the three differences you need to know about deciding for which brush to go.

Final Verdict:

Both the brushes are extremely useful. I would say buy both of them if you are a makeup freak and want to collect as with buffing you will get 3 more brushes that are in the core collection set. But if you just want one brush and don't really want to have so many different brushes for each purpose then Expert face brush is waiting for you.. In my opinion I love both of them I use buffing brush for BB creams and Expert face brush for foundation.

Hello Beauties!!! I hope all of you are living your life at the fullest and if not then start doing it girls be selfish and be beautiful....

As all know summers are on..In summers we need to take care of our skin as this is very dry weather..but your lips are also equally important... Many women prefer glossy lips to hydrate and maintain its moisture , but trust me too much gloss all the time can make you look like a JELLY QUEEN :-P ... 

Here I have come today to tell you that matte lipsticks are no more matte and you can wear them in this drying weather also without loosing the moisture of your lips....

Flaunt that Pouty Lips with the MAYBELLINE NEWYORK COLORSHOW CREAMY MATTE LIPSTICKS ...

When I came across these the name itself is quite attentive.. its a matte lipstick n in creamy texture..

SHADES:

It comes in 12shades.. From Neutrals to Pinks to Reds

1. Power of pink
2. Pop of pink
3. Rock the coral
4. Flaming fuchsia
5. Bold crimson
6. Firecracker red
7. Hot chili
8. Red carpet
9. Peach personality
10. Mysterious mocha

Texture:

Texture wise they are very creamy and soft. they just glide on very smoothly. They are soo sooo soooo smooth , I just love the texture of these lipsticks , they set very quickly as they are not liquid .

Wearing Time:

It can be on your lips the entire day...6-7hours more specifically. It doesn't come off entirely , It slowly turns into that stained look after some time.. Of course the intensity of the shade will fade when you eat or drink something after 2-3hours , but it doesn't look bad that way too. You can touch it up or you can just enjoy that stained look which I also like..

Swatches:

Here are the swatches attached for you guys...

Packaging :

It comes in a Matte Black colored plastic bullet. In the middle some transparent glass sort of strips are there which helps in identifying the domain shade of the lipsticks... whether  it is a PINK SHADE or RED SHADE or a NEUTRAL SHADE.. Lipstick is sealed with a transparent plastic film and colorshow is printed on that. Overall the packaging is good.. a basic one.

Price part:

It retails for Rs. 325.00 in India. I always prefer and advice to buy them online from NYKAA.COM or Amazon.in as you can easily get 10-25% off on maybelline products.

Pros n Cons:

• They are Matte still the texture is creamy,
• Affordable
• dark shades are just super super great
• very pigmented
• doesn't came off entirely
• Cons what I feel is Light shades like peach personality is a bit patchy on my lips you need to really exfoliate your lips for such a shade.. just this one con from my side!!! 

Final Verdict:

I would love to recommend these lipsticks ,but but but...my advice avoid peach personality in this range although the shade is soo tempting but it doesn't come on the lips the same way.. The best shades according to me would be ROCK THE CORAL ,FLAMING FUCHSIA, RED CARPET and FIRECRACKER RED  which will look so smooth and will look beautiful on every skin tone..

So ya...This my my Review on this range by Maybelline ... I know I do write a lot for Maybeliine products but I love them I don't know why just love them...If you guys find  this review helpful then do comment and share with your friends.....
